Plans to set up a Petrochemical Park  at Kochi in  Kerala.                                                                                                                          
The park would come up on land adjacent to the Integrated Refinery Expansion Project of BPCL-Kochi Refinery at Ambalamugal in Kochi, Kerala. Some 20 Small and Medium scale companies would set up businesses on the park campus and would manufacture paint, sanitary napkin, etc. using feedstock from the Propylene Derivatives Petrochemical Project (PDPP), coming up on 115 acres of land at BPCL-Kochi Refinery.
The project is in planning stage .                                                                                                                              
As of April 2015, Land has been identified and  the process of obtaining administrative                                 
sanction has started. KSIDC is expecting environmental clearance for the project in a month’s time.
